This lighthouse is a landmark, rising uo between the Mediterranean and the orange groves os La Plana. It was designed in 1992 by the architect Blanca Lleó, making it one of the only two lighthouses in Spain, with the Irta ligthouse, to have been designed by women. Ir was bulit using ashlar stone on its façade, stainless steels in its walkways and stairs, and copper in its finishing touches.
