The PortCastelló Foundation is a non-profit organisation that works for the public interest, with legal personality and its own assets and which, as stated in Article 1 of its bylaws, is dedicated to the ‘promotion and commercial development of the Port of Castellón’.
It began its activities in February 2006, with its headquarters in the Moruno Building in the Plaza del Mar, in El Grao de Castellón and since its launch, contacts have been made with groups in the Port Community, institutions and companies with the aim of them becoming supporters of the foundation in its various roles, contributing an annual financial sum for its operation.
Since the end of 2015, the PortCastelló Foundation has been revitalised by a new professional team, with experience and knowledge of both the Port of Castellón and marketing. With this new drive, it has become an essential tool, a spearhead that serves to channel the informative actions for the promotion of the port in Castellón, and for the entire port community, in order to successfully reach clients and make them aware of the infrastructures, investment possibilities and new services of PortCastelló.
The organisation is made up of two types of supporters: sponsors and partners. All members are considered essential in this new drive being given to the foundation and the foundation is counting on them to jointly plan the initiatives that are understood to be most useful for the commercial promotion of the port and the port community and, therefore, all its logistical infrastructure.
The Port Authority of Castellón, Castellón Provincial Council, Castellón City Council, the Chamber of Commerce of the province, the Business Confederation of Castellón and the Association of Consignees and Port Companies of Castellón (ACEP) all participated as ex officio trustees in the creation of the foundation.
