The 224-metre-long luxury liner ‘Seven Seas Splendor’, owned by the American shipping company Regent Seven Seas and operated by the shipping company Marmedsa, has a capacity for 750 passengers and 542 crew members capacity for 750 passengers and 542 crew members, and it is the first cruise ship of the first cruise ship of the year to call at Castellón.

This cruise adds to the ten cruise ship stopovers confirmed and closed for the next two years, which will allow nearly 7,000 cruise passengers to get to know the uniqueness of Castellón and its province.

The president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez, who underlined PortCastelló’s “commitment to cruise tourism”, pointed out that “we are doing everything possible for companies in the cruise sector to choose Castellón as a base port and a port of call of interest on their itineraries”.

In this sense, Ibáñez stressed that the arrival of this cruise ship represents “a great opportunity for the future of our port and tourism in the province of Castelló”. “For the first time, the programme of activities includes a total of twenty excursions to different towns in the province such as Morella, Peñiscola, Vall d’Uixó, with a tour of the caves of San José, Vila-Real, with the orange route, a visit to the museum in Vilafamés, or taking part in a paella masterclass at Mas Dels Doblons in Almassora”.
