The Port Authority of Castellón is executing two new accesses to its facilities, one for pedestrians and the other for vehicles, in order to facilitate the entry of visitors to its facilities. Thus, once the works are completed, the Port Authority offices can also be accessed from Avenida Ferrandis Salvador, in addition to the current entrance from Calle Serrano Lloberas.
Specifically, the action entails the recovery of part of the fence to its original state and colors and involves an investment of 39,085 euros and an execution period of three months.
This action to improve accessibility to the Port Authority of Castellón is part of the set of actions that PortCastelló is carrying out to integrate the port with the city, such as the construction of a basketball court on the site of the old nurseries del Grau de Castelló, in collaboration with the Castelló Town Hall, or the rehabilitation of the Moruno building to adapt it to current needs and enhance this emblematic building that is part of the history of the Grau.
Other actions are also planned, such as the improvement of the Lighthouse fountain on the Costa quay and the cliff of its maritime façade.
The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, recalled that “we want to make PortCastelló everyone’s port, and make investments that allow us to bring it closer to the public and make it more attractive”.
