PortCastelló recives the certification of compliance with the National Security Scheme (ENS)

19 July 2022

The Port Authority of Castellón has obtained certification in the National Security Scheme (ENS), the result of four years of continuous work to implement an Information Security Management System.

PortCastelló becomes the second Port Authority to receive this certificate, which guarantees minimum security conditions for citizens and private companies in their procedures with the APC.

The body has received its accreditation after an evaluation process carried out by the certifying body OCA GLOBAL, in which it has obtained the MEDIUM category. For this, it has had to pass a formal audit on an ordinary basis that verifies compliance with the requirements contemplated in the ENS. The Port Authority will have to undergo an evaluation every two years, which guarantees the excellence of the service.

The ENS is conceived by the CCN-CERT, a national body dependent on the CNI (National Intelligence Center), to be in charge of creating a set of regulations that maintain the necessary security conditions in the use of electronic means through measures that guarantee the security of systems, data, communications and electronic services.

This certification places the Port Authority as a benchmark within the state system in terms of cybersecurity, initiating a new stage of review and adaptation to the new ENS (RD 311/2022)

The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Rafa Simó, has highlighted that this accreditation is important because it is a guarantee of the work and continuous effort of the institution to achieve the highest standards of information security and it is a guarantee of constant improvement of our organization.
