The port of Castellón participates in Breakbulk Europe, the most important trade fair for bulk cargo, project cargo logistics and ro-ro in Europe, which is held in Rotterdam with the participation of 560 exhibiting companies from more than 120 countries.
PortCastelló attends under the commercial umbrella of Puertos del Estado at the “Ports of Spain” stand and under the slogan “Compartido Direction”, with the aim of showing its logistics potential and its growth, which places it among the top nine Spanish ports and the second in solid bulk traffic.
On the other hand, PortCastelló discloses at the fair its potential for cargo handling and special machinery, such as those related to the wind sector. In fact, the traffic related to this sector is gaining importance in the port of Castellón, which has multiplied the traffic of wind blades and motors six-fold in two years. Specifically, PortCastelló moved a total of 557 shovels in 2021, with dimensions of 73.5 metres, of which 350 were exported and the rest imported.
Good highway communications, the availability of land on the docks of the port of Castellón and its strategic position are the main factors valued by companies that work with this type of special transport.
