The Port Authority of Castellón has collaborated in the 3rd International Underwater Image Festival -FESIMASUB- organized by the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Valencian Community, adapting its “Columbretes” boat to make it accessible to people with reduced mobility so they can enjoy a dive on the Grossa Island of the Columbretes Islands archipelago.
Volunteer staff from the Red Cross, Salvamento Marítimo and PortCastelló joined this initiative by contributing their grain of sand, together with companies from the Port Community, accompanying users and transporting the necessary material for such a special immersion.
This action is part of the CSR policy promoted by the Port Authority of Castellón, supporting activities that have a social work aspect. In fact, PortCastelló also collaborates by contributing its boat to the “A sea for everyone” event organized annually by the Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities -COCEMFE- together with the Real Club Náutico de Castellón.
This third edition of the International Underwater Image Festival has attracted photography experts and professionals, who have enjoyed the beauty of the underwater depths in one of the most privileged enclaves in the Mediterranean.
