For the ninth consecutive year, the port of Castellón has organized the Christmas Postcard Contest “Draw your Christmas with PortCastelló”, in which schoolchildren between the ages of 3 and 11, both inclusive, have participated. A total of 50 children from all over the province have joined this initiative.
The contest establishes three categories and with the winners of each of them the postcard with which the Port Authority of Castellón congratulates Christmas has been published. Specifically, the selected drawings have been those of Carlos Lloret, in category A; Lidia Zomeño in category B and Álvaro Filgueira in category C. The jury was made up of María José Rubio, representing the Castellón Port Authority; Cristina Gabà, representing the Escola d’Art; Rosana Asensio, representing the Beni-Art Association, and the artists Amat Bellés and María Griñó.
PortCastelló will deliver the prizes to the winners and a batch of gifts to all the participants next Monday, December 19, in the assembly hall of the Castellón Port Authority. In addition, all the works will be exhibited on the PortCastelló website.
The purpose of the initiative is to promote port-city interaction, involve the youngest with the port of Castellón and make them aware of its importance in generating employment and wealth in the province of Castellón.
