The Castellón Port Authority and the FUE-UJI through the Office of European and International Projects, EuroFUE- UJI, have initiated a collaboration agreement to promote and develop international and innovative projects, with the aim of fostering the spirit entrepreneur and attracting talent to the port of Castellón through the “European Financing Roadmap” program.
The 12-month program will contribute to the strategic positioning of PortCastelló through advice on attracting European funds.
The European Roadmap consists of 2 phases of work; The first focuses on the development of a Strategic Plan for attracting European resources after an analysis of the potential of the port of Castellón, as well as personalized training on the most suitable Financing and European Funds. This phase also includes the development of a Communication Plan specialized in international positioning based on the most strategic European programs and calls for the port of Castellón and its surroundings.
The implementation phase consists of the preparation of a work agenda in Brussels and participation in public-private platforms, workshops, events and meetings with European institutions and entities of interest. Finally, PortCastelló will join different international consortiums of European project proposals with the best guarantees of success.
The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, recalled that one of the objectives of the new PortCastelló Strategic Framework is “to approach knowledge and build bridges with those institutions that are pioneers in the dynamization and promotion of projects”. Rafa Simó has valued “the important role played by the UFE-UJI to bring Europe closer to companies and organizations and facilitate the implementation of projects related to science and innovation, in this case, the logistics-port sector”.
