2021-11-19. The Castellón Port Authority has carried out several actions to adapt the Moll de Costa space for the smallest with an investment of 60,000 euros.
On the one hand, work has been done on the children’s play area through the renovation of seesaws and the fine-tuning of the traditional slide. This action incorporates an inclusive spring adapted.On the other hand, the ceramic mural of the Game of the Goose has been renewed, which commemorates the history and customs of the port.
The main objective of these actions is to improve safety, and for this reason the existing flooring has been replaced by an impact absorbing one, both on the floor occupied by the slide and springs and on the perimeter of the ceramic mural.
The objective of the works is to promote the Moll de Costa as a safe and attractive leisure area. The president of the Port Authority, Rafa Simó, highlighted the entity’s commitment to integrating with its surroundings and the importance of valuing this enclave as a tourist attraction and for activities that bring the port closer to society.
These improvements are in addition to others that have been undertaken, such as the construction of the toilets in the Plaza del Mar, the opening of the Plaza de Sète, rearrangement of the parking lots at the pier, placement of flower boxes, elimination of the water channel at the entrance of the Moruno building and the extension of the pedestrian accesses to the Plaza del Mar and Sète from Avenida de Hermanos Bou, among others.
