05-10-2021. The Castellón Port Authority has implemented several strategic projects in order to improve efficiency and reliability through the use of advanced, safe and efficient technologies. “These systems allow integration with the rest of the PortCastelló platforms and have an impact on the reduction of times, increased reliability in the processes and transparency of information with its end users”, explained the president of the public body, Rafa Simó.

On the one hand, a new module has been implemented for the integral management of the sanctioning procedure through mobile technologies that is integrated with the own billing systems. To this end, the Port Police have been provided with mobile devices so that they can register complaints at the foot of the dock and enter all the information of interest for the subsequent management of the file. The application provides interfaces for the opening and processing of the file, allegations, resolution and closure. In all the steps, the printing of documents with the barcode is allowed to make the payment at the bank.

This system makes it possible to speed up the introduction of complaints and simplifies the sanctioning procedure, making the entire process more reliable. On the other hand, the Castellón Port Authority has invested resources in modernizing its stopover and cruise management tool, integrating it with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and with web platforms in the cloud for sharing information with its clients.

In this way, the Port Authority can plan the port area graphically, assigning and authorizing berths more easily and efficiently. The system synchronizes its information with a web system in the cloud, which allows users to see said planning and consult the graphic representation of the port status in real time from anywhere in the world.

Finally, the Castellón Port Authority has implemented a Geographic Information System (GIS) for the graphic representation and management of the public port domain that increases efficiency and reliability when allocating parcels and facilitates the collection of fees.
