PortCastelló confirms its commitment to the regeneration of Almassora beach

The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, today visited Almassora on a “historic” appointment, in the words of the mayor, Merche Galí, to confirm his commitment to the regeneration of Almassora beach. This has been indicated by Simó to the spokesmen of all the political groups in the town and representatives of the neighborhood associations.
Simó has influenced the will of his department to be part of the solution to the problems suffered by the Almassora beach, and hence his intention to reserve funds for intervention in the defense of the coast. Galí has thanked, “of course, that he is the first person in charge of the Port that has materialized that municipal request but, in addition, that he has come to Almassora to meet with all the groups and with those who live in the area to detail his project.”
The actions that are carried out will always be conditioned by the corresponding authorizations from Coasts, competent in the matter in all cases. In fact, a work and coordination table has been set up with Costas to analyze all the actions that are carried out.
The meeting held this noon in Almassora takes place months after the initial date due to the accident of the sunken ship in the waters of the port in the month of May.
The meeting was also attended by the new port director, José María Gómez; the Councilor for Territory, Carmina Martinavarro; the deputy mayor Javier Mollà and the spokespersons for PP and Compromís, María Tormo and Diana Belliure, respectively. The three neighborhood associations of the beach have also had representation in the meeting in which Galí has highlighted the call of this working table “which confirms that the problems and solutions of the beach belong to everyone and that we are all united to overcome them” .
Thus, in addition to Simó’s intention to invest in the coast in the short and medium term, the president of the Port Authority has informed the attendees in person of the meeting sponsored by the mayor of the will that he has already transferred to the head of the Consell, Ximo Puig, to invest in the regeneration of the Almassora coastline, pending at the moment that Costas aprooves the project that he considered “a priority” compared to interventions in other municipalities in the province.
