01-12-2021. The port of Castellón has hosted this morning an ammonia spillage drill in a ship located in the north dock with the result of a missing person.
The exercise involved the activation of the Castellón Port Self-Protection Plan and had the participation of the Emergency Control Center, Port Police, Civil Guard, customs surveillance service, Red Cross of the Sea, Emergency Coordination Center of the Generalitat, fire prevention, extinguishing and rescue service of the Castelló Town Hall, health emergency service of the Valencian Generalitat, Consulmar and Real Club Náutico de Castellón.
The Castellón Port Authority periodically coordinates exercises to evaluate the response of all the organizations involved in a possible incident of these characteristics to minimize the effects of an emergency.
