For the seventh consecutive year, the port of Castellón has organized the Christmas Postcard Contest “Draw your Christmas with PortCastelló”, in which schoolchildren from all over the province with ages between 3 and 11, inclusive, have participated. In total, a hundred boys and girls have joined this initiative.
The contest establishes three categories and with the winners in each of them the postcard with which the Port Authority of Castellón congratulates the Christmas holidays will be published. The jury has been made up of professionals from the art world of recognized prestige in Castellón, such as Cristina Gabà, from the Escola d´Art; José García as representative of the Beni-Art Association, the renowned Castellón artists Amat Bellés and Marco Maseda, and María José Rubio on behalf of the Castellón Port Authority. Its members have named the winners of the contest, which have been: Alma in category A; Maider Ruiz, in category B and Belén Garffella, in category C.
The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, will proceed to the awards ceremony for the winners on Monday, December 21 at the Castellón Port Authority headquarters.
The initiative aims to enhance port-city interaction, involve the youngest with the port of Castellón and make them aware of its importance in generating employment and wealth in the province of Castellón.
