The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, has received a wide representation of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of the Valencian Community (COIICV) to show the potential growth of PortCastelló.

The delegation, headed by the dean of the COIICV, Salvador Puigdengolas, the president of the headquarters in Castellón, Javier Rodríguez Zunzarren, and the president of the headquarters in Valencia, Nieves Romero, visited the southern dock of the port of Castellón.

Rafa Simó explained the productive infrastructures planned in this port area. “It is a unique space, which is associated with a logistics area, with optimal connectivity and an intermodal station that will attract new investments, generate employment and wealth in our environment.” Specifically, there are actions planned for a value of 200 million euros in this enclave.

The president of the Castellón Port Authority has indicated that “rail connectivity is not an opportunity for the future, but a need for the present.”

For his part, Salvador Puigdengolas, pointed out that “this working visit has been very fruitful because it has allowed us to know first-hand the potential of the port of Castellón and the possibilities it represents for companies and industries in our environment.”
