The president of the Castellón Port Authority highlights the opportunity that the European Union Reconstruction Plan represents for the port of Castellón. This was stated in a colloquium organized by the Propeller Club Castellón.
Rafa Simó has highlighted the strength of PortCastelló in the face of the crisis caused by COVID-19, the result of the diversification of its traffic and has recalled the measures approved by the Port Authority to alleviate the effects of the pandemic in the companies installed in the port of Castellón, such as lower rates and postponement of payments.
The president of the APC has listed the most important lines of action of the APC Investment Plan in the next four years, most of them related to railway infrastructure. Rafa Simó explained that the railway plan of the port of Castellón follows the planned route map and that marks the business plan of the Port Authority.
“Technical issues and the suspension of administrative deadlines due to the state of alarm has meant that a new calendar has to be established to match these works in time,” said Rafa Simó, referring to the internal connection between the two docks, southern railway access and intermodal station.
Finally, Rafa Simó has referred to the job well done during these months by the Port Community.”Our business fabric has demonstrated its resilience capacity and has to know that they will always have the port as their best ally.”
