This week, the Portsur bulk terminal in the port of Castellón welcomed the unloading of four clay ships with a total of 177,000 tons destined for the ceramic industry.
The port has hosted the two most important landings in its history of this raw material this year. The first of them was in January, with 79,597 tons, and the second last October,
with 79,000 tons. So far this year, 5,116,948 tons of raw materials related to
the ceramic sector have been unloaded in the port of Castellón, of which 1,424,532 are clays loaded in a total of 144 ships. The main countries with which the port of Castellón maintains commercial clay traffic relations are, in this order, Ukraine, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, has indicated that "these data reflects that PortCastelló is prepared for the berthing of large ships and that the port of
Castellón is the port of ceramics"i t should be remembered that PortCastelló ranks third in solid bulk traffic out of the 46 ports of general interest.
