The president of the Castellón Port Authority affirms that the collaboration of all the administrations and the investments of the private initiative will allow to configure a new space “safer, more sustainable, competitive, with high connectivity and attractiveness for customers”
The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, José Luis Ábalos, has visited the south dock of the port of Castellón to learn about the ongoing and future works that will place PortCastelló as a “competitive, more sustainable, with high connectivity and safer port ”. This was stated by the president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rafa Simó, during the presentation to authorities and businessmen.
Rafa Simó has outlined the investments planned in this dock in terms of rail and road that will place the port of Castellón among the best connected in the Spanish port system. Specifically, 192.1 million for railway accesses and 4.5 million for road access. To this are added the 2.2 million euros to continue completing the urbanization of this area.
The president of the APC has also presented works in progress of the Port Authority and the private initiative that amount to 18.7 million euros, such as the structure of the Iberdrola channel, the construction of a fire network, the new dock for liquid bulk, the installation of a wheel washer, as well as closed warehouses and a new berth.
Rafa Simó has referred to the consolidation of the project for the new area of logistics and industrial activities next to the port of Castellón as an element to attract investments “that can increase and diversify the productive fabric of Castellón”.
