PortCastelló has been visited by a delegation from the city of Hwaseong, located north of the Republic of South Korea, to learn about the commercial and leisure opportunities of the port
The entourage has been received by the president of the Port Authority, Francisco Toledo, the general director Ana Ulloa and the manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, and is part of actions taken to promote the port that has among its objectives “expand throughout the Asian zone ”, as Francisco Toledo has stated.
During the meeting, the president of the APC explained the competitive advantages of PortCastelló for the transport of goods between Spain and Asia. “The port of Castellón is in an optimal location, it is connected to 101 countries, is part of the Mediterranean corridor and is a gateway to Spain,” said the president.
The delegation toured the site to learn at first-hand the PortCastelló port operations and has shown special interest in the port’s refrigeration terminal, as well as in the terminals specialized in other types of merchandise.
The delegation was also interested in the nautical-sports and recreational area as well as the policies of integration with the city through traditional events such as Escala a Castelló, the patron saint festivities of the city or the Sant Pere fiestas, to apply them later in the tourist development of his city.
