On this occasion two new categories have been included which will recognise achievements in the fields of Equality and Culture.
The aim of this initiative is to reinforce the sense of belonging to the Port Community and to give public recognition to innovative projects.
The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, has announced the IV edition of the PortCastelló Lighthouse Awards. The Lighthouse awards scheme was started by the Port Authority in 2016 to coincide with the celebration of the 114th anniversary of the port in accordance with the Honorary Distinctions Regulation.
The programme which has at its main aim to reinforce the sense of belonging to Port Community of Castellón, and to give public recognition to constructive innovation in various fields and to reward good work that has been done.
In this years programme two new categories have been introduced. Equality and Culture, which are added to the existing categories; Communication, Innovation, Business Performance, safety in the Workplace, Environmental Protection and Social Commitment. The criteria for participation are set out on the website www.portcastello.com.
The jury for the Lighthouse awards which is made up of fifty people from various fields, will evaluate each candidate and their proposals will be put before the Board of Directors of the Port Authority.
The president of the Port Authority has indicated that for the IV edition, “the jury will be the same as the previous year, and will therefore be made up of an equal number of people from within as well as external to the Port Authority.” The programme will be held next April.
