It is the largest cruise ship to date in the port of Castellón, with 1,200 people on board
On Monday 8th July the cruise vessel Marella Dream will dock in PortCastelló with 620 crew and 1,564 passengers board, the vast majority of British nationality. With this data, it becomes the largest cruise ship that has ever docked at the port of Castellón.
This vessel comes from Marella Cruises, operated by the group TUI United Kingdom, which offers cruise vacations in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia. This company, formerly known as Thomson Cruises, is ideal for families and couples looking for an all-inclusive vacation experience.
The ship will dock first thing in the morning in PortCastelló. Once in port, tourists can choose between different organized excursions, including the beaches of Castellón and Benicàssim or a tapas tour through the city of Castellón.
The tourism boards of the Town Council of Castelló and the Diputación de Castellón have provided tourist guides to provide assistance to cruise passengers. In addition, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana will provide additional support with ten tourist assistants proficient in English who will be on duty in the cruise ship docking area and in various places in the city center.
