The Port Authority once again makes its annual awards to those projects that benefit the Port of Castellón.
The panel of judges for the third edition of the PortCastelló lighthouse awards has put forward the ‘Diario’ Group in the communications category. The jury’s proposal will be put before the Board of Directors at their next meeting.
A peer group panel of judges made up of 18 professionals from the field of communication as well as representatives from the Port Authority has been given the responsibility of choosing form the proposed candidates. The panel recognises the work that as been done by the ‘Diario’ Group which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary. The ‘Diario’ Group is a group of businesses from the Valencian Region specialised in communication and graphic arts which does work all over Spain and has offices in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid and Valencia. In the field of communication the ‘Diario’ Group has consolidated its position as one of the leading companies in the field of logistics at a national level.
The group publishes a newspaper called “Diario del Puerto”, in which it provides news about the business carried out at the Port of Castellón as well as the companies that make up the port community. In addition, in its digital and bulletin versions, it reaches more than 12,000 subscribers all over the world..
The panel gave particular consideration to the special editions that the Diario Group have published about Castellón, such as ‘Who is who in Castellón Logistics’ or ‘Castellón Logistics’ which included aerial photos showing clearly the positions of companies and institutions of the province related to the port and logistics sectors.
The panel also recognised the fact the the Diario Group chose the port of Castellón as the venue for its first ‘Informative Conference’, an idea that has recently been put into practice and which has the aim of becoming meeting place, and a forum for reflection and debate for professionals in the logistics sector in the Valencian Region, as well as for representatives of institutions.
Addressing the the panel of judges, Francisco Toledo, president of the Port Authority said the the objective of the PortCastelló Lighthouse award scheme is to “recognise the work carried out by persons or companies related to the port and to reinforce the sense of belonging to the port community”
