The report gives details of the productive investments in the port of Castellón and its commitment to society
The Port Authority of Castellón has published its Annual Report on Sustainability 2017, containing methods for evaluating the performance of the entity. Both documents give details as to how the institution functions, its governing bodies and the productive investments in the port of Castellón, its economic development and statistics for goods traffic. It also describes actions taken in the field of sustainability and its social commitments.
The president of the Port Authority Francisco Toledo, considers that, ”as well as being sustainable economically it has to be socially sustainable and for this reason it is fundamental that we have a vision of CSR that is shared by society and especially those people who live in the maritime districts near the port.”
As a part of its policy to share and publish the results of common objectives, the reports will be distributed among members of the port community, interest groups of the Port Authority of Castellón. The report has been printed on Scheufelen Graspaper, paper that is 100% recycled from grass that has been dried in the sun which reduces the use of water, saves energy and reduces emissions of CO2.
The report comes with a USB and can be seen on the website www.portcastello.com thus fulfilling the commitment to transparency with regard to management of the port.
