The manager of the PortCastelló Foundation is working through a very full agenda in order to attract new cruise ships to Castellón.
The Port of Castellón, through the PortCastelló Foundation, is participating this week in the cruise ship traffic convention Seatrade Europe, which is being held in Hamburg until Friday 8th September.
In this way, at a gathering which brings together suppliers in this sector, organisers and the principle cruise ship companies for both sea and river trips, PortCastelló is making known the possibilities that the port has to offer and the highly attractive nature of the province for tourism. The venue is the trade fair complex of Messe Hamburg.
The manager of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, together with the person responsible for cruise ship traffic, Susana Soria, have arrived at the event with a full agenda of meetings and presentations with companies in the sector and their aim is to attract more visits by cruise ships to Castellón and to make known the attractive possibilities that the port and the province has to offer.
It should be remembered that the objective that has been set by the president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, is to increase the number of cruise ship visits to PortCastelló to ten per year in the space of two years. He said,”Seatrade Europe is the most important trade fair for the cruise ship sector, so for us it is an excellent opportunity to show our potential as a destination for cruise ships to the operators and specialised agents.”
