Students for the Business of Valencia visit the Port of Castellón
A total of 20 students from the 3rd year of Logistics and Marketing from the Business School of Valencia have visited the Port of Castellón accompanied by their teachers. This visit takes place as a part of the policy of the Port Authority of Castellón to open up the port to local people, educational institutions and to strengthen the links between port and town
The students attended a talk given in the assembly hall at the headquarters of the port Authority of Castellón and afterwards had a conducted tour of the port where they were able to take a close look at the activities there. They were informed about the importance of the Port of Castellón in the economy of the province. The port currently provides 2,178 jobs directly and another 6,048 indirectly.
The students also visited Castellón Port Control which is situated on the Transverse Exterior Breakwater and which is responsible for maritime safety in and around the port as well as providing information to the Port Community.
