At the fair the port will advertise its infrastructure and services and explain the benefits of operating in this logistics enclave on the Mediterranean coast.
Through the PortCastelló Foundation, the Port of Castellón will once again be present at this years Cevisma Fair which will be held in Valencia from the 1st to the 5th of Ferbuary in order to support the ceramics sector of the province.
The port will advertise its offer of infrastructures and services and explain the benefits of operating in the logistics enclave on the Mediterranean coast. It should be remembered that 46% of the ceramic exports from the province goes through the Port of Castellón and around 90% of the raw materials are imported through the port. For this reason the port has increased the incentives for the ceramics sector for the year 2016 so that taxes on vessels will be reduced progressively from 25% up to 40% based on the number of containers transported. The President of the Port of Castellón, Francisco Toledo points out that this is,“A measure that will make out port even more competitive and improve conditions for the sector.”
In addition, PortCastelló comes to this year’s fair with record figures for goods traffic in 2015, more than 16 million tons.
Before being put in place, the president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, together with the Director of the port, Roberto Arzo, and the president of the PortCastelló Foundation, Miguel Rojo, have visited the stand which PortCastelló will install in the Valencian Fair. In this stand vistors will be able to see the whole process of the production of cermaic products from their manufacture to their final exportation.
