The port cooperates in operation to extinguish the fire in the Serra of Espadán

The port suspended the passage of ships to allow flying boats to pick up water.

It was for this reason that PortCastelló restricted the movement of vessels from 1030 hours his morning.Since then four flying boats have been picking up water about once every ten minutes.

The president of the Port Authority of Castellón, Francisco Toledo, has stated that the PortCastelló will do everything possible to aid with the fire fighting operation which threatens the Sierra of Espadan and that therefore “these restrictions will remain in force for as long as it is necessary.”
