Francisco Toledo states that the good economic result will allow the port to invest in infrastructure, reduce taxes and increase bonuses in order to improve its capacity to compete.
The Board of Directors of the port of Castellón has approved the annual accounts for 2015 which show a profit of nearly 6 million euros, 54% more than the previous year. This growth has been the result of an increase in income of 9.3% and a reduction in the costs of personnel and operations.This was explained by the president of the Port Authority, Francisco Toledo, to the members of the Board of Directors to whom the financial report for 2015 was presented. The report places the port of Castellón among the leading ports in the Spanish system, since its growth in income, profits and profitability have grown well above the average. In fact the PAC is now ranked ninth in the list of port authorities for its economic balance and sixth in terms of profitability.
Francisco Toledo explained to the Board of Directors that the accounts for 2015 together with the restructuring of the debt, that has already been carried out, will allow the PortCastelló to undertake a programme of productive investments valued at 67 million euros until 2020, Among the projects to be carried out are a new dock for bulk liquids in the South Basin and the construction of a road connection for this dock to the CV-22. At the same time the good results will allow taxes to be reduced and bonuses to be increased thus making the port more competitive.

The Board has selected the application by Proyectos Ponsfer S.L. for the administrative concession for a site measuring 6.000 m2 in the northern area of the port for the construction of an industrial building of 1.225,7 m2, with a budget 311.229,19 €, which will be used for the repair and temporary storage of containers.
The Board has selected the application of Talleres Calmont S.L.U. for the administrative concession for a site measuring 3.000 m2 in the northern area of the port for the construction of an industrial building measuring 775 m2, with a budget of 320.273,77 €, which will be used for the repair and temporary storage of containers.
The Board has selected the application of INDUEL 2000 S.L. for the administrative concession for the occupation warehouse number 11 on the Levante Quay which will used for the storage of machinery.
The Board has selected the application of TREINTASUB S.L. for the administrative concession for the occupation of warehouse number 8 on the Levante Quay for the strorage of equipment and machinery..
The Board has selected the application by SAMIET 2016 S.L. for the administartive concession for a property situated in the fish quay area which will used for catering.
The Board has agreed to the administrative concession to María Nieves Peris Oliver for a property sitiated on the Muelle de Costa to be used for catering
The Board has agreed to the concession for ‘Sociedad Cooperativa Valenciana Limitada Columbretes’ for the occupation of two storage facilities situated in the Levante fish quay , for the supply of fuel to vessels.
