A group of students form Chesterfield, in the county of Derbyshire, UK, have visited the Port of Castellón to learn about the lay out and function of a modern port. The students are on an exchange visit with students from IES Caminás Castellón (secondary school)
The group attended a presentation in the main hall about the organization and activity in the port and afterwards were taken by bus to see some some of the docks and harbours.
During this tour they were informed about the measures that the Port Authority has undertaken to consolidate the position of the port and to ensure its sustainability and to minimise the effect of its operations on the environment.
The visit of these British students takes place in the context of the Port Authority’s ongoing policy to strengthen relations between the institution and local citizens and between the port and the town.
