The Mayor of Castellón, Alberto Fabra, opened at the end of March the new fire station at the Grao of Castellón, located in the South Basin of the Port of Castellón, to serve businesses and residents of the area. The president of the Port Authority, Juan José Monzonís, the Deputy Mayor, Javier Moliner, the Deputy Mayor of the Grao of Castellón, Marta Gallén; and aldermen Joaquín Torres and Beatriz Gascó, plus Fire NCOs, Agustin Salvia and Alberto Sonseca attended the event. This new facility, located in the Port of Castellón, is the result of the investment made by the Port Authority of Castellón to the citizenship of Castellón.
Thus, the Mayor, who has highlighted the important work performed by firefighters, said that “few things are so valued by our neighbors as services and infrastructures to ensure their wellness and safety. With utilities like this, neighbors reinforce their life quality. On the other hand, the Port of Castellón also gets a critical service for its development.” The firefighters of Castellón have their new headquarters in the Grao, being able to attend, immediately, to more than 20.000 neighbors that are living in our sailor neighborhood, has informed the Mayor.
