Whats is it?
This is the administrative document that authorises activities carried out on public port land that do not require the construction of works and facilities, as well as those that involve temporary facilities with movable assets. Activities must be in line with the Special Development Plan or, failing that, with the Demarcation of Port Areas and Usage.

Applications must be made in writing to the Port Authority of Castellon’s Public Port Land Department, and must signed by a person with sufficient powers, in accordance with the provisions of the recast text of articles 74 and subsequent of the Spanish Law on State-owned Ports and the Merchant Navy (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2011, of 5 September). Once the documentation has been submitted, the Port Authority analyses it before discretionally granting or refusing the application. The applicant is always informed of the decision.

WHAT IS IT?
When the occupancy involves the construction of works and facilities that are permanent, will be in place for over three years, and involve carrying out business activities that are permitted on public port land, the corresponding administrative document is an administrative concession. Activities must be in line with the Special Development Plan or, failing that, with the Demarcation of Port Areas and Usage.

There are two procedures for granting administrative concessions:
PROCEDURE REQUESTED BY A PARTY
An individual or legal person makes an application to the Port Authority of Castellon, submitting the documents required for an administrative authorization or administrative concession.
TENDER
A tender is put out by the Port Authority and can be open or restricted, in accordance with the provisions of the recast text of articles 86 and subsequent of the Spanish Law on State-owned Ports and the Merchant Navy (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2011, of 5 September).

CURRENT TENDERS

Application for permission to carry out building works or other activities on public port land
WHAT IS IT?
This is the procedure through which the Port Authority’s Technical Department authorises minor works in facilities on public port land under an administrative authorisation or an administrative concession, or for temporary activities in the port’s service area.

PROCEDURES:
Once the documentation has been submitted to the Port Authority (Public Port Land Department), the appropriate checks are made, the works are validated, and the applicant is then notified as to whether the works or activity have been approved or not.
