The main access road to the Port of Castellon is the CS-22 motorway which is reached via the N-340 trunk road connected to the AP-7 motorway, and CV-17 dual carriageway. This leads directly to the North Dock and to the South Dock via the N-225 trunk road.
At present, rail access to the Port of Castellon is via the railway line that runs from the Les Palmes siding to the North Dock.
Rail access to the South Dock is currently being undertaken with private investment. Efficient and sustainable transport flows can only be guaranteed in a port if there are good access routes that optimise transport times between the different modes of transport. Therefore, it is essential to have a south rail access and an intermodal node.
