CSR Committee

It has established the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee as a body responsible for the project of corporate responsibility. This committee functions assumes the identification, coordination, monitoring and dissemination of all activities undertaken by the Port Authority, not only internally but also, and in a transparent manner to all stakeholders.

The committee's primary objective is to convey to the entire organization the importance of responsible management and a working philosophy committed to the environment. It is therefore considered vital that the involvement of all areas, both for their contributions, for the informative function that should provide the business structure.

Since its implementation, many actions have been implemented after the organization of information days held in the Port Authority of Castellón under the name "Sailing into the future with socially responsible innovation."

As a novelty, since last year 2010, the social dimension is reflected in the Sustainability Report, a document carried out following the Global Reporting Initiative G3 principles, standardized model that quantifies the Corporate Social Responsibility.

Currently, and unshaken in its commitment, work continues on identifying objectives and activities to help plan the actions that the Port Authority is going to carry out during 2012.

The most important actions carried out on 2011 were:

• Cultural campaign "What does the Port of Castellón mean to you?" - It includes a drawing and writing contest for children and a photo contest for the general public. (see news)
• II Open Day of the Port of Castellón. Attendees enjoyed a complet guided tour in the port facilities. (see news)
• New fire station located in the South Basin of the Port of Castellón. (see news)
• Collaboration with Acudim and Asindown Associations.
• Publication of the I Sustainability Report 2010.
